Green Party to Address the 2007 UBCM Convention

WHEREAS the mission of the Green Party of British Columbia is to provide environmentally sustainable policy, including a focus on combating the effects of climate change; AND WHEREAS the 2007 Union of BC Municipalities UBCM Convention in Vancouver is embracing a climate change theme; AND WHEREAS the Green Party of BC represents a significant constituency in British Columbia; AND WHEREAS there is precedent to allow the leader of a political party not having four legislative seats to address UBCM delegates; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Leader of the Green Party of BC be invited to address elected local government delegates for up to five minutes at the 2007 UBCM Convention.
