UBCM Seminar Workshop Venues

WHEREAS the Union of BC Municipalities offers a variety of seminars and workshops to its membership throughout the year and these are held at venues in the Lower Mainland; AND WHEREAS members located outside of the Lower Mainland wishing to attend these programs must do so, in many cases, at considerable travel expense and inconvenience and may be unable to participate in a program for these reasons: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of BC Municipalities be requested to consider holding UBCM sponsored seminars and workshops during Area Association Conventions to minimize travel distances for many of its members.
