Proceeds of Crime

WHEREAS all communities are affected by crime and by the high costs of policing; AND WHEREAS the proceeds of crime could better be used if targeted towards policing costs and crime prevention and education programs: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of BC Municipalities petition the provincial and federal governments to amend legislation to provide that the proceeds of crime be targeted directly towards policing costs and crime prevention and education programs.
