WHEREAS the District of Wells, a community of historic precedence and economic potential, is severely limited due to single highway access; AND WHEREAS the natural disasters of 2003 have shown the risk faced by communities with only a single highway access: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Union of BC Municipalities lobby the provincial government for legal, maintained access from the District of Wells to Highway 16.
