Highway Rescue Services

WHEREAS highway rescue services are very important to the residents of the Province of British Columbia; AND WHEREAS many local government jurisdictions are providing highway rescue services outside of their boundaries on a volunteer basis: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Government of the Province of British Columbia be requested to implement a program, through the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General Provincial Emergency Program, to provide enhanced assistance to local government for capital and operating costs in relation to highway rescue services.
